On May 25, in Huntsville, Alabama, VorTek, a limited liability company, was organized with Dr. Frank B. Tatom as Manager, as a spin-off of Engineering Analysis Inc. (EAI). The primary business activity of VorTek will be the sale of services and products relating to the seismic detection of tornadoes. Initially VorTek will be co-located with EAI.
