Dr. Frank B. Tatom, Manager of VorTek LLC, will be a guest speaker at the Institute for Business & Home Safety Sixth Annual Congress to be held at the Peabody Hotel, Memphis October 26-28.  As part of his presentation entitled “Initiatives in Tornado Safety” on October 27, Dr. Tatom will provide a detailed assessment of the threat posed by tornadoes to Memphis, Tennessee, and also a list of the twenty most tornado-prone cities and states, based on National Weather Service Data from 1950 through 1998.  In addition, Dr. Tatom will present the most recent developments in his work dealing with the Seismic Detection of Tornadoes.
